Pro-Vision Implements HD for Wireless Camera

Wireless camera technology receives upgrades to allow for high-definition video on in-cab monitor or DVR.

Byron Center, MI — March 8, 2022 — Pro-Vision, a leader in mobile video solutions, announced today it is upgrading its wireless camera to deliver HD-quality video. These cameras are primarily used to reduce blind spots on fleet trucks, heavy equipment and trailers.

The 2.4 GHz Wireless Transmitter and Receiver can be paired and connected to a wired camera, eliminating the need to run wire from the rear to the cab of the vehicle.

A wireless camera upgraded to deliver HD-quality video

“Ever since we upgraded all of our wired cameras to support high-definition video, our team has been working tirelessly to bring HD to our wireless options,” said Matt Lehnert, Pro-Vision’s vice president of engineering. “Running cables to cameras on trailers and on movable locations such as flatbeds is time-consuming and can create future maintenance points. We’re excited to offer a solution that solves that issue.”

The transmitter and receiver, which pair automatically when sharing a common ground, can connect up to 120 meters (393 feet) away and are waterproof with an IP69K rating.

“Our automatic pairing function is even faster than before and eliminates the possibility of pairing to the incorrect trailer camera when switching trailers at a busy distribution center,” Lehnert said.
