Pro-Vision Updates AHD Low Profile Camera

The camera with improved night vision, ultra-wide angle views also will sport new flush mount to comply with state laws regarding interior cameras installed on buses.

Byron Center, MI — Jan. 5, 2022 — Pro-Vision Video Systems, a leader in mobile video solutions, announced today the release of the AHD Ultra-Wide Angle Low Profile Camera. Nearly identical to Pro-Vision’s AHD Low Profile Camera used in the commercial industry, the ultra-wide camera offers better views in low-light environments, as well as a larger coverage area for interior use in buses and other transit vehicles.

Sticking out just 0.9 inches, the ultra-wide camera features 180° horizontal views — 30° more than the AHD Low Profile Camera and 10° more than the AHD Mini-Dome Camera — and 90° vertical views to capture every detail.

“Interior lighting conditions aren’t always ideal, so we wanted to update our existing low profile camera to be able to capture all of the details no matter the setting,” said Matt Lehnert, Pro-Vision’s vice president of engineering. “Additionally, our customers are going to love the larger coverage areas and cleaner mounting option compared to our AHD Mini-Dome Camera.”

The ultra-wide camera with a built-in microphone and 1080p HD resolution also features a flush-mount option — available early 2022 — that complies with state laws regarding interior camera installation.
