Pro-Vision Adds AHD Forward-Facing Camera

The new windshield camera utilizes enhanced lens technology and Wide Dynamic Range to provide improved low-light performance and capture the important details – even in the darkest environments

Byron Center, MI — Jul 20, 2021 — Pro-Vision Video Systems, a leader in mobile video solutions, announced today the release of its new Analog High-Definition (AHD) Forward-Facing Camera. The new windshield camera is designed for enhanced low-light performance to capture all the important details in 1080p HD resolution, and also features a low-profile design to prevent obstruction of the driver’s view.

Unlike other forward-facing cameras offered today, the new AHD Forward-Facing Camera from Pro-Vision is built to record high-quality video in low-light conditions thanks to a new F1.6 large aperture lens paired with a Wide Dynamic Range of 120B. Combining the improved low-light performance with 1080p HD recording resolution, the AHD Forward-Facing Camera captures the extra details you need to see in your recorded video that other cameras can miss.

“High-quality video is important, but resolution means nothing if your video is too dark to see,” said Matt Lehnert, Director of Engineering at Pro-Vision. “With this new camera, we wanted to raise the bar for low-light performance. We can’t wait until our customers see just how much of an improvement they’ll get with this new camera.”

The camera is designed to work with Pro-Vision video recording systems for transit, commercial fleet and law enforcement vehicles. With an IP-69K waterproof rating and operating temperature of up to 158° F, the camera’s rugged design ensures it’s ready to perform in tough environments like open-cab vehicles.
